She kept on crying and held on to me like she was never going to let me go. I cried with her too. Her life was a total wreck. She had made a lot of mistakes. She did not want to leave. She kept saying amidst her wailing, "I want to die". 30 minutes prior to this time, she narrated what was to me a non- fairy tale. She had done everything that was wrong you could think of.
At the age of 9, Jemima was raped by her 21 year old uncle. She grew exposed to things she shouldn't be. she became pornography addictive and from then on, she couldn't do any thing right.
Everything in her life was falling apart. Her self esteem, her relationships, everything. Her mom looked for help wherever she thought possible until she met me. She told me everything and I wanted so much to meet Jemima but I was also anxious. What could I possibly tell her? What? But I met her anyway. She was tired, she had had enough so she let it out. Jemima is better today, she's healing, most of all, she's thanking God she met me.
It's possible to blame everyone and everything around her right? In fact, that's exactly what you're doing right now. Her uncle, her mother, technology, everything but Jemima didn't. Everyday that she woke up, there was a better life. There was something better. She just needed someone to tell her this is not you, there's a better you. But no one did, it was judgement and condemnation she got everytime.
I tell you, someone around you needs your help. The person is right by you. all you need to do is SWERVE!
awwwwww! i'm gonna SWERVE!!!! :)
