Am not ready!!!

I wrote this on behalf of me and a friend of mine. I just remembered how much we both turned God down individually several times and we hope that it will help you to make that very hard but rewarding decision to follow God today.

Am not ready... am not ready
That has always been my attitude
Towards God and everything that comes with him
Time after time, day after day,
I longed for sin, and made them best friends
I played with them, danced with them
But each time, when I turned around,
Jesus was always there, waiting. Patiently.
My friend's mother- in- law's mama warned me
But all I did was turn away again
One day, as usual, by one a.m, I was staggering back
My belly filled with liquor and breaths from the lips of guys
A lot of them went into me and out, into me and out
And now am incomplete!
At first I thought, "what kind of God will want me"
I clean up everyday cos it covers my filthiness, my dirt, my mess
What kind of God will want someone like me?
To me, God was like Josh
That always waited to give me ice cream
Every time,and gosh! I didn't like him
But he did! He did!
I became convinced that God was still there when mama dint die
Cos I ran to God
I had heard that miracles fall from heaven
Though I could not understand cos the skies seemed closed to me and selfish too
Like everyone I had known in my life
When I let Josh in finally and he failed me
When everyone judged me and all God did was love me
All he did was wash me and save me and hold me
And then I realized!
God was like a man marrying a woman he knows will constantly cheat
Ever since I let him in, I think ive left him a hundred times
But my hero! He's always waiting for me
I don't want to leave him waiting no more
Cos I love him too much now
He never gave up on me and he never will!. 
Whenever you think you are ready to let God in, Fine! Take all the time you want. But think, how long do you want him to wait for you? He's always going to be there anyways. He's always going to be the best for you. In him, you have all the answers you want. He's your peace. I think you should let him in.

DON'T GIVE UP!!!

Picture in the world of your mind right now a dark room, a very dark one. Then, when you get into that room, nothing seems visible. How large is this room? Is there anyone here? These are the questions and many more that have impossible as their answers. “Is there anyone here?” that seems like a very difficult question for you to ask. And then you see something far off, blinking, a very dim light. There is relief, finally. At least you have an idea how large the room is. I know that whatever is there, no matter how dim the light is, someone put there or it’s there for a reason.

            That dark room could be somebody’s life. It just seems like there is no way out, we can’t just figure out what is happening. You can’t place your hands on who has really been there for you. It’s just you and your problems and your hurt, your pain, your disappointments. Yes! They are yours but for how long do you want to remain the person outside the door of the dark room that is too scared to get into that room? For how long do you want to keep wondering how long that darkness is going to last? For how long are you going to keep being afraid of seeing everything negative? Locate something positive..

            Can you still identify love in your life? Can you recall that it is love that has made you want to wake up every morning despite all? I mean, it is love that makes you wait at the road signal for that old woman that gets down from the bus between 6 and 6:15 that cannot cross the road alone. It is love that makes you forgive your friends the 20^th time they failed you. That’s just a guess of course, it’s more than that. It is love that gives you hope that someone, someday will show you that kind of love; that faithful, kind and selfless love, the kind that Jesus loved us with. Don’t give up on tour life. Please. Don’t give up.

Not right now!

Do you feel like giving up? Do you feel that there are many obstacles already and that you've been crying a lot? Do you like how you feel every single day you wake up and just wish everything will be dull around you like your heart so you can at least be sure that's nothing is working?
         But just like the way you see that every morning, there has to be light from somewhere, you have to believe that you have a bright future. You have to believe that where you are right now is not where you will be in the next 10 years. Is it so hard to believe? I choose to answer my own question. I know it is! I really need you to start believing in yourself. Believe in what you say, what you do. I want you to be so sure that you are a great person going somewhere to happen. But this would not happen until you let some things go. The fear of not being wanted by anyone. You might think that no one recognizes you or that who cares? Do you know that someone, somewhere thinks about you? Someone likes something about you! Someone can't wait to see you. It really doesn't matter if it seems that way or not but you are special.
Get the fear of what people think out of your mind. What they think is not what or who you are. What you are is who you allow yourself to be. Do you allow yourself to be too emotional that people get to you easily, do you allow yourself to remain low- esteemed? I think it is time for someone to start believing, to start trusting. Because you are worth more than precious stones. Now is not the time to doubt or be downcast. No! Not right now.

Feel a love that has been so Heavenly wrought
Wrought by Holy Hands, same as this form
Form that is you, ever so beautiful
Beautiful beyond words that even speak I

Be Inspired.

I shared something with my Mentor yesterday and he made me value my relationship with him more. This is what he told me and I just wanted to share it with you. So,.........

There is a popular inspirational story of a cow that was thrown in a deep pit. People threw dirt and all sorts of rubbish on the cow. Instead of lamenting and feeling distraught, or useless, the cow made the determination to see each dirt and rubbish as an opportunity to be supported and raised upwards little by little. So it always shook off the dirt and this became a stepping up platform. This continued for a while and gradually, little by little, after a long while, the cow was raised up to a level where it was able to get out of the pit by itself.

The morale of this story is that people will throw a lot of rubbish at us, obviously designed to make us feel worthless and miserable, even up to the point of giving up on life. However, we can decide to use these dirt and rubbish as opportunities rather than threats. Keep in mind that the way we feel is a decision that we have in our hands. Every day that we are alive to see gives us two opportunities. We can either decide from the moment we get up from the bed that day whether we are going to be happy or take the only other alternative which is to feel miserable. The choice is ours. This reminds me of what a colleague told me recently. She said that she always carries her happiness with her and doesn’t leave it in the hands of others. That’s a very useful thought. So if we allow what people say, or their attitudes to discourage us, we certainly give off ourselves to them and those people take over and become the remote control of our lives. Each time we see them or hear their ridicule, they figuratively press a remote control button that sets us ablaze internally. Is that what you really want? I am sure not.

Everybody in life has a story to tell. Everyone wants to be heard everywhere. What you should do is make yours the best seller. What makes your own story a best seller? The things you do differently, the things you say differently either to yourself or to people around you. The people you love. The people you try to love. The way you keep being strong in life's toughest situations, the way you keep smiling to the toughest people. The way you love and treat your family, the way you love your God. Yes, he is your God. He belongs to you. The way your heart's beauty is, beyond words, that is. The way you keep all hurt and pain behind you no matter what or who it is from. The way you change the World by who you are and who your past circumstances have helped you to be. The way you never blame God for anything that has happened to you or will ever happen but trust Him and promise yourself that it is all part of God's great plan for your life. The way you say to yourself "Yes, I went through this but I know God still has my back". Shalom!
